I called Comcast. They told me that MSNBC had chosen to provide a digital-only format, necessitating the channel change. I wonder if the real reason behind the move though was instead to force customers to pay for a more expensive tier in order to receive MSNBC -- channel 30 being available on a less expensive tier. Could there be political reasons behind the change? Would Comcast move FoxNews, channel 32, like this? I doubt it. Would they prefer you to watch FoxNews instead of MSNBC for some reason?
